We imported Itri from Chichaoua Province outside of Marrakesh, Morocco, in July 2021, mere days before the CDC suspension on imports from Morocco became effective. We are in love with Itri’s exquisite type, his gorgeous head and expression, fantastic proportions and outstanding, ground covering and effortless gaits. Itri has a wonderfully happy and outgoing temperament. He is extremely keen on game and was an accomplished hunter before coming to America. He has excellent pigment, all black nails, and no white markings. He is as typey and correct as any Sloughi we have ever seen and we are incredibly grateful to have him in this country.

Itri breezed through his AKC championship in two weekends, undefeated, earning a Hound Group 2 along the way and then breezed through to his Grand Championship, blasting into the rankings as the #1 Sloughi (all breeds) for 2021 in only three months of showing. Itri was the nation’s #1 Sloughi (all systems) for 2022 and for 2023.
